Jackson R-2 School Child Nutrition Service offers a variety of healthy meal choices for breakfast and lunch to all students through the National School Lunch and Breakfast program. This program also allows us to offer free meal benefits to students that qualify through an application process.

Students who qualify for free meals can receive a free breakfast and lunch every day.

  • A new family meal application must be submitted at the beginning of each new school year.

  • You can apply at any time during the school year if your household size goes up, your income goes down, or if you start getting food stamps, Temporary Assistance, or other benefits. If you lose your job, your child(ren) may be able to get free or reduced-price meals.

  • Applications can be found at www.SchoolCafe.com

  • Past due balances will roll forward from year to year.

NOTE: Prior to approval of the Free and Reduced Price Meals application, parents/guardians are responsible for the payment of all meals until the application is processed.
