School Counseling Program

  • Classroom Lessons: The counseling curriculum focuses on Personal and Social Development, Career Development and Academic Development. Lessons are centered around what students at their particular age/grade level can learn today to prepare them for their future in all three of these areas. Lessons are taught in students' classrooms by Mrs. Shaw who strives to engage all students in a fun and meaningful way. Classrooms see Mrs. Shaw weekly for 2 of the 4 quarters throughout the year.
  • Individual Support: Students come to see Mrs. Shaw as needed for many different reasons by either student request, parent request, or teacher request. Mrs. Shaw can help students process through difficult transitions in their lives, identification of feelings, coping strategies, and goal setting.
