        Coding Club Sign Ups:

        Students, Are you interested in coding, computers, problem-solving, or just being creative?  Coding Club might be just what you are looking for here at JMS. Coding Club will be meeting on Wednesday afternoons until 4:45. We will start meeting on September 4th and run until December.  If you are interested, please grab a sign-up form from the table by the office. Coding Club can only accept the first 40 students who return their form, so make sure you grab one and take it home right away!  Return your form to Mrs. McElroy in room 20.


        Robotics Club:

        Students, Mrs. Miller and Mr. Kohm are now taking sign-ups for our Robotics Club. The club will take place every week during lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will learn all about coding robots, including the LEGO Mindstorm. See Mrs. Miller for sign-ups or questions. The Club starts NEXT TUESDAY!!


        Lunch Money:

        Students, please remember that you must put all lunch money in an envelope before placing money in the lunch money bin. This is for either checks or cash. Also, please be sure to have your name on the envelope, too! Thank you!!

Speedball:

Speedball Afterschool Club is starting soon.  If you enjoy playing volleyball or speedball then this club is for you.  It will start Tuesday, October 29 and run every week until December 10. Please pick up a flyer from the information table, Coach Chunning, or Mrs. Gross asap.  The deadline to sign up is Friday, October 25. We will take the first 80 students with permission slips and money. Hope to see you there!


End of Quarter - Hat Day:

Student Council is sponsoring a Hat Day Friday, October 18 for the end of first quarter.  Way to go students, you made it 1/4 for the way through this school year! Keep up the great work!

Students!  Have you noticed your friends practicing their keyboarding skills during RTI Time? If you would like to have your EduTyping.com account activated early, before you're in Tech, see Mrs. Wortmann or Ms. Little.


Robotics Lunch Club:

There will be no Robotics Lunch Club this Tuesday. Mrs. Miller and Mr. Kohm are both out of the building. We will resume this Thursday! 


REVENGE IS SWEET!

$1.00 is all it takes to see our Coaches and Leaders get a pie to the face! Shine Club will be hosting a fundraiser starting Thursday October 10th - Thursday October 17th. Donation buckets will be set up in the cafeteria during lunch. The more money we raise, the more pies will get thrown! As a bonus, for every $1.00 that you donate your name will be placed in a bucket, and you could be the lucky student who gets to pie one of our leaders! The "pieing" will take place Friday October 18th before 1st hour.

Disability Acceptance Week @ JMS:

October 14th - October 18th is Disability Awareness Week in Jackson. Jackson Middle School Shine Club will be hosting a Spirit Week to show our support!

Today is Team Day (Wear your favorite team's jersey!)

Tomorrow is Wednesday: Twin Day! Find a friend or two or three, and show your support by dressing alike!

Thursday: Pajama Day

Friday: Class Colors Day. 5th graders wear Red, and 6th graders wear Black. 


Princess and Her Prince Dance - November 1, 2019 at JMS

Calling all princesses! The dance formerly known as the Daddy Daughter Dance is now the Princess and Her Prince Dance. Students, please be aware this is not a boyfriend/girlfriend dance. Bring your prince (this could be your father, grandfather, uncle, brother or that special family friend in your princesses life) to the Princess & Her Prince dance on Friday, November 1 at Jackson Middle School from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and go to support the Power Pack program. Tickets can be purchased at the JMS office, the Board of Education Office at 614 E. Adams Street, or by calling 243-9501. Any princess from Pre-K to 6th grade is invited. You don't have to be a Jackson student to attend. Dance the night away, enjoy cookies and punch, photo opportunities, royal activities and visits from REAL princesses! Raise money for a great cause to help our students in need.


Ghost and Goblin 5k:

Come join us for the Ghost and Goblin Gallop 5k.  This race is on Saturday, October 19th at Crossroads Church.  Did I mention you can run in your Halloween costume? Bright orange flyers are on the shelf in the lobby if you would like more information. See Mrs. Goodwin with any questions.
