Summer School 2017 Information


The Jackson R-2 School District is offering FREE summer school for students entering kindergarten through fifth grades for the 2017-18 school year. The program is designed to provide educational enrichment activities that expand upon what was taught during the school year. All students are encouraged to attend for a fun, rewarding experience. The program is offered at no cost to participants. Lunch is available for purchase, or students may choose to bring lunch from home.

The program will be held at East Elementary starting:

June 1st – June 22nd for grades 1st - 5th
June 5th – 16th for students entering kindergarten.
Theme and Activities:  Each grade level will have special activities designed around an ocean theme.  Our theme title is "Come Learn with Me, Under the Deep Blue Sea!"

Summer School Enrollment Form grades 1-5 2017-18

The kindergarten summer school program (students entering kindergarten in the fall of 2017), will be in session Monday through Friday, June 5-June 16. Kindergarten students will be assigned a morning session OR an afternoon session after enrollment. At this time, all elementary summer school classes are scheduled to be held at East Elementary.

**Register by Friday, May 5 to earn a FREE summer school t-shirt.

After School Kids Club is provided for those interested in participating. Regular fees for After School Kids Club do apply.  Enrollment forms will be posted along with summer school enrollment forms in late March.
