Senior High Announcements
Good Afternoon JHS! Today is Thursday, December 4, 2008 and here are your daily announcements:
If you plan to attend Mineral Area College come by the counselors’ office they have just received 4 scholarships for Mineral Area students.
If you plan on graduating at semester, make sure you have turned in your form to the counselor's office. Mr. Powell will be meeting with the semester graduates soon.
Play the Twelve Days of Christmas Trivia in the library, and you could win a Barnes & Noble Gift Card. New questions are posted each day, but you must answer all three of them correctly to be entered for the prize.
Pictures Needed! The yearbook staff would like to cover people who went on vacation last summer, but we need your help. Please contact Miss Cracraft in room A310 if you have pictures of yourself from somewhere you went in Summer 2008, and you could quite possibly be featured. Thanks! You all rock!
The Boys Swim Team Athletic Banquet is today (12/4) at 6pm in the Jr. High Cafeteria. Please be sure to bring your bags & warmups to turn in as well as any money owed on your account.
If any senior missed the chance to get a t-shirt or goodie you can get a form Coach Rushing A120 and have it returned with the money by Tuesday (12/9).
There will be a Health Careers Club meeting tomorrow (12/5) at 7:20 a.m. in Mrs. Jeffers room. Yearbook photo will be taken!
There will be an FCCLA meeting for all members today (12/4) at 3:10 pm in room A107.
Attention FBLA members! We will be providing the Santa for Santa’s House in uptown Jackson this holiday season. If you are interested in being Santa or a helper, sign up with Ms. Niswonger ASAP! (12/5) The Toy Drive has begun, so bring in NEW toys to Mrs. Skinner’s room (A304) and help make a child’s Christmas bright! The Toy Drive will end on Tuesday, December 9th. There is an FBLA Officer Meeting tomorrow (12/5) in Mrs. Skinner’s room at 7:30 am.
All Hi-Step members need to turn in their $5.00 for the Adopt-A-Family to Mrs. Duncan by the end of the week (12/5).
J-Crue & J-Crue2 Basketball t-shirts are on sale now! Girls are $12.00, guys are $15.00. See Kaley, Kyla, Chris or Shawn.
Tomorrow (12/5) is the last day to order your cap and gown at the current price. There is a price increase after December 5th. If you haven't already ordered your cap and gown, please contact Jostens this week. See the office for more information.
Any student that needs a schedule change for 2nd semester needs to come by the counselors’s office this week (12/5) to make an appointment and pick up the schedule change form.
There will be a Spanish Club lock-in tomorrow (12/5) from 5-9 p.m. The cost is $5.00. There will be soccer, zumba, tacos and more! The Spanish Club officers will meet tomorrow (12/5) mornming.
The Air Force representative will be here tomorrow (12/5) during 3rd hour. Sign up in the counselor's office if you would like to speak with him.

The Boys JV Basketball Team will compete tonight (12/4) in the Perryville Tournament at 8:00 p.m. against Notre Dame.
The Girls Basketball JV Team will play today (12/4) in the Cape Central Tournament at 7:15 p.m.
The Girls Varsity Team will play today (12/4) in the Farmington Invitational at 6:30 p.m against Oakville.
The Wrestling team will compete in the Parkway South Invitational tomorrow (12/5) at 4:00 p.m.
