Artsonia’s dream is for every child to have a special art gallery collection, reflecting personal masterpieces from pre-school through high school.  In correlation with this vision, we also achieve three important educational goals:

§          Increase parental involvement in their children’s education: Parents take an active role in their child’s art education by submitting artwork to the child’s online gallery and sharing the news with family and friends.

§          Integrate technology into the classroom: Teachers and students engage in classroom art projects, and publish their artwork in an online art gallery. Students learn that the Internet is also a means of expression and not simply a large repository of information.

§          Develop multi-cultural understanding: Classrooms engage in "virtual field trips" within Artsonia to view the artwork of other students. Through artwork commentary, they can interact with the museum community and study artwork from around the world, developing a broader understanding of how other students live, learn, and play.

Artsonia is currently the world’s largest student art museum featuring artwork from thousands of schools in over 100 countries.

This is what a few Orchard parents had to say about Artsonia:

  • Thank you for sending home the Activity Report for Zachary. I was able to get on-line and place an order today.
  • Thank you Susan for all you hard work with this art museum! What a great thing to have for our children and for all the parents and families. Great Job! Thanks again.
  • I love that art work on line that is so cool! I sent it to all the grandmas and aunts and uncles so they could look at Sophie’s artwork.
  • I wanted to take time to say thank you for the information regarding Artsonia. My husband and I are very excited about this project. This is a wonderful way to encourage our kids and build their self confidence at the same time. We as parents also get to purchase one of a kind keepsakes. Thank you so much.
