Counselor’s Corner
Welcome Back! My name is Jill Hadler and I am the School Counselor at Orchard Drive Elementary. I am looking forward to working with you and your students this year! This is my sixteenth year in education and my tenth year as a school counselor. My family and I live in Jackson and we love the community!
My primary goal this year is to assist in the promotion of student success through academic, personal/social, and career development. In order to achieve this goal, I will be visiting each classroom every other week to provide guidance instruction where I will introduce a variety of character education topics. During the month of September, the focus of the classroom lessons will be on the following character trait: Responsibility. Lesson topics will include activities in academic organization, transitions from the prior grade, and classroom rules/safety. Throughout the year, small group counseling on a variety of topics will also be facilitated.
We have some excited new leaders in our building! We have a group of 3rd grade students who have volunteered to be our Orchard Junior Ambassadors. They will read our morning announcements, greet students each morning in the lobby, and much, much more!
