PLAN - All Sophomores
The PLAN, Preliminary ACT, is a unique test designed especially to encourage high school sophomores to get an early start on the task of making timely plans for the future. A student who takes the PLAN receives information about his or her academic skills, as well as, personal interests, plans, and needs. There is no charge to students. The district covers all costs.
American College Test (A.C.T.)
Must be taken early in the senior year or late in the junior year if the student plans to attend college.
The A.C.T. is similar to the S.A.T. Both are college entrance exams and both are either required or recommended for applicant scholarship agencies, and athletic conferences. Colleges in Missouri require the ACT test for enrollment. It is important to note that some schools will accept only one of the two tests. Before registering for either, you should know which entrance test is required by the school(s) you plan to attend. Calculators are allowed in Math.
The A.C.T. costs $32 and is given at Jackson High School and the Test Center Code is: 164040 (block N on registration form).
