Today's Daily Announcements

Good Afternoon JHS! Today is September 7th, 2010 and here are your daily announcements:

If your date for the dance attends another high school, you must have a yellow permission slip signed by their principal and returned to the office by today.

Hi-Step applications are now available in the counselor's office. Completed applications must be turned in by Friday, September 10th.

The first FBLA meeting is Tuesday, September 14^th in room A304 at 7:30 am – mark your calendars!  If you still need to join, pick up a membership form from any business teacher.

FBLA will be attending Career Day at Busch Stadium on Wednesday, September 29^th.  The cost is $20, and money is due by the end of the week. 

There will be an FCCLA meeting this Thursday September 9^th at 7:35 am and 3:10 pm in room A 107.  The FCCLA All Member Social will be held this Thursday after our 3:10 meeting if weather permits at the pavilion next to the skate park.  If it rains it will be held in room A 102.  All are welcomed to attend for food, fun games, and fellowship.

Any sophomore or junior that plans to attend college should consider signing up to take the PSAT.  The cost is only $13 and you will receive a practice book. By doing so you will have the opportunity to experience what it will be like to take an SAT.  Along with putting yourself in the running for many scholarships and possibly a full paid tuition to college. If you have any questions or would like to sign up to take the test stop by the counselor’s office.

Congratulations to the Cross Country runners on their performances at the Jackson Invitational. Both the Sophomore and Junior girls took second and medalsts were Tori Parry, Taylor Dickerson, Lindsey Seabaugh, Xiao Shu Dirnberger, Kylie Christensen, Ashley Miles, Brock Nanney, Riley Talbut, Ray Hecht, and Nate Martin. Great Job everyone!

The JV Football team will play away today against Parkway South at 6:00 p.m.

The Girls JV/Varsity Volleyball team will play at home tonight against Poplar Bluff at 6:00 p.m.

The JV/Varsity Girls tennis team will play at Semo today against Mehlville at 4:00 p.m.

The Girls Varsity Softball team will play away today against Oran at 4:00 p.m.  Also JV/Varsity Softball team will play tomorrow home against Notre Dame starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Boys JV/Varsity Soccer team will play away today against Poplar Bluff at 4:30 p.m.
