PRINCIPAL'S INFORMATION
LATE ARRIVAL: When children arrive late, parents are asked to bring them into the building and sign them in.
PARENT QUESTION: If I want my son/daughter to change his/her mode of transportation at the end of the day, how should I notify the school and how will the school know it is me?
PRINCIPAL'S ANSWER: If you wish to change how you want your son/daughter to be transported home, please send a signed note with your student that day. This will allow us to be sure of your knowledge of the change and help keep your child/children safe.
PARENT QUESTION: Would a phone call to the office be an appropriate way to inform the school of the transportation change?
PRINCIPAL'S ANSWER: Unfortunately, anyone can be on the other end of a phone line. To help ensure the safety of our students, the office needs a signature. In cases of emergencies, facsimiles and /or emails are additional means of communication. If those options are not available to you, we may be able to ask you a series of questions that would help indentify you as the parent/guardian.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: It is very important for you to have a plan of action with your child in case school is cancelled or dismissed early. The following TV station will have school closing information: KFVS-12. The following radio stations will also have information: KCGQ-99, KZIM-960, KZIM-103, Y105-104.7, KAPE-1550, KISS-93.9, and KGIR-1220.
